Issah Contractor is a Canadian born, Kenyan raised artist who immigrated back to Canada at age 14. As boldly diverse as he is with all genres of music, it's clear that he resonates strongest with jazz/jazz fusion and funk, but also within opportunities of experimentation.

A fan of philosophy, one can't help but wonder if his personal philosophy is an extension of his music and expression, or if music and expression is the product of his philosophy, or if it's a swinging pendulum of collaboration within itself that yields such potent sounds, compositions, and improvisations.
